UNESCO, The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Albania, in cooperation with the Regional Centre for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage in South-Eastern Europe in Sofia,  will organize in Tirana, on October 23-27, 2023, at the “Tirana International” hotel, the event: “Strengthening the Global facilitators’ network under the 2003 Convention: Training workshop for new facilitators from Europe and North America”

In this one-week training, young intangible heritage experts, selected by UNESCO from several European and North American countries, will be trained on various aspects of the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Heritage, its implementation mechanisms, as well as aspects of the financial assistance mechanisms that operate in this field. During these days, the experts will also visit the city of Shkodra where they will get to know some of the best craft workshops in the city.

The activity will take place within the United Nations International Cultural Week, organized by the Ministry of Culture.
