The absolute premiere “Annonciation” returns through the work in Tirana the choreographer of Albanian origin Angjelin Prejlocaj, on the stage of the National Theater of Opera and Ballet.

A gift from the artist Prejlocaj for the opening of TKOBAP, the premiere performance was created during November last year in Marseille, with the ballerinas of our troupe. The premiere performance was preceded by another work of the choreographer, already known to the Albanian public “La Stravaganza”. A work neatly performed by the ballet soloists.

The preparation of the works in Tirana was directed by the French choreographer of the Angelin Preljocaj company, Natalia Naidich.

“‘Annonciation” is a performance created in 1995. The work refers to the moment when the angel Gabriel appears to Mary, who announces to her the news of the savior’s coming to earth. Mary is a revolution and a mission. This piece brings fragments of the musical creativity of Stéphane Roy and Vivaldi”, said Natalia Naidich.

The works were staged over two nights on the stage of TKOBAP, respecting the antiCovid 19 rules.
