The Ministry of Culture and the National Center of French Cinematography signed a cooperation agreement in the field of cinematography.

During the Berlin Summit that was held in Tirana, the Minister of Culture Mrs. Elva Margariti welcomed the minister

Culture of the Republic of France Ms. Rima Abul-Malak.

At the center of the talks was the strengthening of cultural relations between our two countries, focusing mostly on the field of archaeology, in the course of historical reports and fruitful collaborations, with Leon Ray, to continue with Pierre Cabane and other teams that have developed excavation and study expeditions in Albania. As one of the areas where bilateral cooperation is experiencing continuous growth is ballet, taking as an example the International Festival of Contemporary Dance, which, in its second edition, proved that it has the potential to expand with others. international collaborators, adding not only performances, but turning into a real school, where ballet masters give masterclasses.

Cinematography was one of the topics of discussion. The latter was also the object of the agreement signed between the Ministry of Culture and the National Center of French Cinematography.

This agreement will benefit from assistance and expertise in the process of revising the law on cinematography; training opportunities for young filmmakers and industry workers to move towards a co-production deal next year.

The cooperation agreement was signed between the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Albania Mrs. Elva Margariti and Mr. Dominique Boutonnat, President of the National Center for Cinema and Animated Images (CNC).

During her visit to Tirana, Minister Abdul-Malak visited the National Theater of Opera and Ballet, where she also assisted during the rehearsals of our ballet troupe, under the direction of choreographer Benard Azizaj; visited the National Museum of Recordings “House with leaves” and held a meeting with filmmakers, where together with Minister Margariti and the President of CNC Boutonnat, they answered the questions of the attendees about future collaborations between France and Albania in the field of cinematography, including the agreement and changes in the law.
