It’s exciting to see this hall breathe life back into life!

An emotion that vibrated in the air, from the first day we started the preparations, engulfed us all, as we listened to the voices of the singers and the beats of the punte on the stage!

We have spent 5 unusual years full of challenges, transformations, earthquakes, pandemics, but also losses, collapses and resurrections and we have all missed this atmosphere, so this evening is not just a ceremony either. inauguration, but it is the celebration of life, which we learned to appreciate even more, when we lost loved ones in an absurd, unimaginable battle…;

Today is the tribute to all those we miss, and to their dear memory we have offered the white flowers that led us to this hall;

For the luminaries of this theater, whose dreams were bigger than this stage, but the dictatorship only offered them isolation;

For our parents, who could see the big scenes only through banned TV channels;

For the stars that shine brightly on the big world stages, without forgetting that they started their flight right here!

Every applause today is for the artists, for those who brought art to the gloomy spaces of this theater, that makeup could not cover the wounds of degradation;

But it is also thanks to the brave people who decided to invest in culture with the conviction that without culture there is no future…

Who overcame the philosophy of “dreams” and facades, to direct a difficult operation, which brought back to life the tired heart of this theater;

We are undoubtedly starting a new chapter for the National Theater of Opera and Ballet, which will radiate more culture and a new mindset of openness to new levels.

It is the theater of the future, of our children, the hope and desire to return to normality and full halls.

This stage belongs to the artists and today, let politics be a spectacle, although it is the bold and visionary decisions that brought the revival of this theater, this major investment, the biggest of the last decades .
