On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the inclusion of Gjirokastra in the list of world cultural heritage, under the protection of UNESCO, the Ministry of Culture organized a special evening in the Castle of Argjiro. Although in pandemic conditions and with a limited number of guests, the message of continuity and promotion of our culture and tradition was conveyed. Personalities of the local government, representatives of the Assembly of Albania, representatives of the diplomatic corps in Tirana, were present at this activity.

The evening was conceived in the form of a concert and thanksgiving for all those who over the years have contributed to conveying the best traditions of Gjirokastra. Singer Vikena Kamenica and dancers Enada and Gerd Vaso created a magical atmosphere on the stone stage. But the evening could not be understood without polyphony, represented by the group “Argjiro”.

There was also the exhibition of the best Girokastri traditions, from culinary, handicrafts, stone carving, folk clothing, which were presented in the form of an exhibition in the premises of the Castle.
