Following the joint meetings of the two governments in Prishtina and Prizren, following the meeting of the two Ministers Krasniqi and Kumbaro in Tirana, on November 22, 2013, the meeting was organized today:

Culture- Our common space
THE FIRST MEETING BETWEEN CULTURE AND ART INSTITUTIONS OF
REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA AND REPUBLIC OF KOSOVO
under the auspices of Minister Mirela Kumbaro Furxhi and Minister Memli Krasniqi.

The meeting was organized at the National Art Gallery, with the participation of all the leaders of the artistic and cultural institutions of the two countries. At the end of the meeting, the cooperation protocol was signed between the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Albania and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of the Republic of Kosovo, the purpose of which is the establishment of the joint annual cultural calendar, as well as the coordination of cultural activities between our two countries. Both Ministries propose cultural activities (receiving proposals from the relevant institutions), coordinate and undertake the financial obligations related to the implementation of the activities. The cooperation protocol is concluded for a period of four years and proposes cultural activities at the beginning of each year.

The joint cultural calendar begins immediately on February 14, with the exhibition of the Marubi Photo Gallery in collaboration with the Art Gallery of Prishtina: “The mobile object of an archive” – February 14, 2014 in Pristina, with the presence of Minister Kumbaro Furxhi and Krasniqi at its opening in Pristina..

Common calendar, specific activities:

This calendar is implemented with a cooperation protocol between the two Ministries of Culture.
The Cooperation Protocol follows the commitment of the two governments to the “Common Cultural Calendar” for four years.
The protocol foresees a concrete obligation to create common cultural calendars every year, as his complaint.

The common cultural calendar starts immediately on February 14.

– The exhibition of Fototeka Marubi in cooperation with the Art Gallery of Pristina: “The mobile object of an archive” – February 14, 2014 in Pristina.

– The children’s show “Princessa Teuta” and folk song and dance and poetry of the National Children’s Center, Tirana will be in Prizren, on February 17, 2014

– Within the framework of the anniversaries of the Independence of Kosovo and Albania, respectively in February and November, film screenings will be organized in Pristina and Tirana, from the thread archive.

– The complete work of Jeronim De Rada is published – accompanied by promotional activity in Kozence, Tirana and Pristina

– An anthology of Albanian poetry of the 20th century will be published, supported by both Ministries

– Today we announce the joint commitment to support the Gjirokastra Festival in 2015.

– Following the commitment of the two governments, Doku Festi is also part of this calendar.

– In March, the ballet troupe and soloists of the Ballet Theater of Pristina come to Tirana for the first time with the show “Love Kills”.

– Also from Prishtina comes the show “Diploma Ball”

– Concrete commitment for the inclusion of artists from Kosovo in TKOB projects in Tirana

– The cultural calendar includes shared space for film at prestigious festivals such as Berlinale and Cannes, 2015

– In September, the National Children’s Center will organize the exhibition in Pristina and Tirana “Two roses, one crown”.

– Simon Shiroka’s exhibition will be organized in visual art in Tirana.

– In Pristina, an exhibition of Socialist Realism.

– Annual conference once in Pristina and once in Tirana for material and non-material cultural heritage with specific themes.

– Joint trainings by Unesco specialists and other organizations.

– Trainings by the staff of the National Library in Tirana for specialists in Pristina.

– Participation of representatives from Kosovo in the activities of the Archaeological Service Agency

– Joint premiere and choreographic production of the ensemble of popular songs and dances and the Shota ensemble “Pazari i Korça i Prizren”.

– At least the showing of a premiere in Tirana and Pristina of the National Theatres.

– Conference on dramaturgy in Tirana.
