REVIVAL BONUS

 

“Revival Bonus”, part of the National Fund for the Care of Material Cultural Heritage, is an annual initiative of the Ministry of Culture / Albanian Government for restoration and revitalization of buildings in historic centers in sustainable business models, generating income and employment for the community. This initiative is an aid in the form of a grant, for all those individuals who own an object in the historical centers of cities and have the initiative to further develop it by contributing to local economic development.

For the year 2022, 96 individuals applied and 41 winning projects were supported through this initiative in Shkodër, Krujë, Berat, Gjirokastër, Korce, Përmet, Pogradec, etc.

BENEFICIARIES:

The “Revival Bonus” during 2023, as an annual fund, will support the owners and legal users of buildings that are an integral part of historic urban ensembles , historical centers, archaeological areas or have the status of cultural assets.

FUNDING OBJECT FOR 2023:

1. maintenance and conservation interventions in privately owned real estate, such as: maintenance, restoration of roofs, facades, masonry, gates, windows, which affect the values and compositional unity of:

• urban historical ensemble
• historical centers

financed up to 1,000,000 ALL (one million).

1. Interventionfor partial restoration/revitalizationincluding: electrical, sanitary, mechanical, fire protection installations, or complete in real estate, owned private, which are an integral part of:
2. historic urban ensembles,
3. historical centers (QH),

• the protected area on the border with QH, which has an impact on its historical urban landscape,

1. inhabited neighborhoods within the surrounding walls of the forts,
2. or have the status of cultural assets as separate objects outside these areas,

up to 6,000,000 ALL/year are financed.

1. The economic activity proposed in the applications for funding, according to point B, with a revitalizing character, in the sense of Law 27/2018 “On cultural heritage and museums” and the by-laws in its implementation, may be, but not limited to , for hotel service, souvenir/handicraft/antique/jewelry shop, bookstore, video library, art and tools gallery, workshop, gastronomy for local products, information point for tourists, tourist agency.

The application for support from the “Revival Bonus” is carried out only online in the e-Albania system, the e-permit service “Revival Bonus Application”.
