The Ministry of Culture announces the Competition “The future is in the origin”, for the selection of “design type project” for the realization of the best products (souvenirs) that represent cultural values and heritage on the one hand, and on the other hand are easily workable and manufactured by our finest artisans.

In the new context created by the global pandemic and the measures taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19, there is an urgent need to find new channels of communication with the public related to art and culture and the support of people working in the industry sector creative and cultural whose financial resources have been hit hard.
As a result of this situation, we announce a competition, which will enable the bringing of some elements related to the exercise of the activity for some categories of the creative and cultural industry, and which can very well be supported, being in accordance with the required protocols.
The idea for the realization of this competition also comes at a difficult moment due to the pandemic, which has suspended almost every cultural activity in the country and has greatly shrunk the economic activity of artisans. The idea is as follows:
The Ministry of Culture announces the Competition “The future is in the origin”, for the selection of “design type project” for the realization of the best products (souvenirs) that represent cultural values and heritage on the one hand, and on the other hand are easily workable and manufactured by our finest artisans.

The competition is addressed to designers/designers of all ages who live, work or study in the territory of the country, giving them the opportunity to design special and comprehensive elements from our folklore and not only, that capture and identify symbols and elements of representation of our tribulations on inheritance.
The production of these products will be further classified as “souvenir” and will enrich the fund of creative relics that will be able to serve for various promotional occasions such as: receptions, ceremonies, festivals, fairs, exhibitions, marked events, etc. . or even for sale in the future, in order to promote tourism in the country by artisans from all over the world.
The use of national elements such as traditional costumes, carpets or other elements that represent certain areas of the country must be based on any material/object created within this competition: wood, alabaster, marble, porcelain, iron , copper, glass, loom, fabric, etc.
The contest is open from November 25 – until December 10, 2020

• The selection of applicants will be made by the jury, which will select the best works through individual voting with points, and will also announce the three winners.

In conclusion, the Ministry of Culture will support three candidates.
– The winner of the First Prize will be awarded 150,000 ALL
– The winner of the Second Prize will be awarded 100,000 ALL
– The winner of the Third Prize will be awarded 70,000 ALL
