The Director General of DG Interpretation, Mr Marco Benedetti, will visit Tirana on the 23 and 24 of October 2014. The purpose of the visit is to convey to the national and academic authorities the importance of ensuring that sufficient numbers of top-class conference interpreters are available with a view to EU membership.
On the occasion, Mr Benedetti has accepted to meet the professionals who are active on the local market and those who wish to work for the European Institutions. He will refer to conference interpreting as practised in the EU, the prospects of Albanian in the context of Multilingualism policy, quality standards and procedures for training and recruitment.
The meeting will take place on the 23rd of October at 15:00 at the Ministry of Culture, Rr.Kavajes, No 4
